PLANO, TEXAS - Attorneys from Albin | Harrison | Roach, a business and family law firm in Collin County, announced a successful outcome for its client, Hays Construction, Inc., as a defendant in a wrongful death case in which plaintiffs sought more than 30 million dollars in damages. On January 12, 2009, the judge of the 190th District Court in Harris County, Texas, granted Hays Construction, Inc.'s Motion for Summary Judgment, thereby dismissing all of plaintiffs' claims against Hays.
Plaintiffs sued Hays and others as a result of a trucking accident, which caused the death of the driver. Attorneys for Albin | Harrison | Roach asserted that Hays was not liable under the various legal theories plaintiffs raised. "It was a difficult case, but the Court reached the correct result," said lead attorney Todd Albin. "Justice was served in this case by releasing an innocent party before dragging them through a protracted, expensive trial."
