Connie Ann Pena
Connie Peñ a joined the firm in June 2007. She has provided clients with legal representation in the area of civil litigation and employment law since 2002. Ms. Peña's experience includes litigation of discrimination/retaliation/sexual harassment claims as well as other employment law, wage and contract claims. She represents clients at the administrative, pre-trial, trial and appellate levels.
In addition to litigation, Ms. Peña also provides counsel to employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws when hiring, managing, disciplining and terminating employees. Ms. Peña drafts employer policy manuals and conducts management and staff training seminars on those policies. She also drafts and reviews employment contracts and advises on covenants not to compete and other issues of business confidentiality, trade secrets and tortious interference. She further assists businesses with entity formation and conversion, including preparation of state filings and compliance with other business/corporate formalities.
Ms. Peña is an active member of the Plano Bar Association and currently serves on the Board as CLE-Director. Ms. Peña is active in the legal community and lives in McKinney with her husband and two children.
